NEKKO – single flower vase

NEKKO – Single flower vase as a flowerpot
A simple vase that makes a clever visual pun on the root system of a plant, this Nekko Vase brings a minimal, sculptural quality to the bud vase. At 4.75 x 4.75 x 1.5″(w), with lots of open space, this vase is as much about object presentation as it is about flowers–you won't fit more than a couple stems in there. I can particularly see the appeal for the guy who doesn't stop by the flower shop on the way home from work too regularly.

The Japanese design firm is known for designing very simple objects based on a theme. This years theme is “borders”, whether missing, blurred, distinctive or adaptive. The Nekko vase draws tribute to the missing roots by creating a stylized reminder of where the flower came from.
