Despite our being several years into the 21st century, household appliances remain resolutely old-fashioned, dull and, well, square. Until now! We don't know what inspired the maverick genius responsible for the Chilli*Egg to break with tradition and design an ovoid fridge (possibly massive quantities of hallucinogenics) but we are glad he did! Hopefully the Chilli*Egg will usher in a golden age of futuristic, Jetsons-style 'white goods' with which we can furnish our space-age bachelor pads. Or bedrooms.

In addition to its sleek, eyecatching form (which will surely conjure up fond memories of 'Mork and Mindy' among people of a certain age) the Chilli*Egg ups the funky-factor by sporting superfly blue-glowing LED-lit side panels. As Jeremy Clarkson would say, given half a chance, if this fridge was a car, it would be a superfast, Max-Powered Astra hatchback pocket rocket. Rather wonderfully, the Chilli*Egg comes complete with a car cigar-lighter adaptor which means you can keep a four-pack of lager, a couple of bottles of wine, or loads of Mars Bars nicely chilled on the way back from the shops.

In addition to it's respectable chilling credentials - and they're solid, since it can cool to 25ºC below ambient temperature - the Chilli*Egg can, at the flick of a switch, convert into a heating device, able to warm food (or drink, who are we to judge?) up to 65ºC. With AC/DC power functions, you can use it in the car too.
